Interior Trim Remover

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the second row center seat.
    Refer to: Second Row Center Seat (501-10B Second Row Seats, Removal and Installation).
  1. Remove the bolt and position the second row center seatbelt anchor aside.
    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
  1. Remove the second row center seatbelt buckle.
    Refer to: Second Row Center Seatbelt Buckle (501-20A Seatbelt Systems, Removal and Installation).

  1. Remove the second row center seat center valance.
    1. Release the retainer.
    1. Release the retainer.

  1. Remove the second row center seat LH side shield.
    1. Remove the screws.
    1. Detach the retainers.
      Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
    1. Lift the second row center seat side shield and pull outward.
    1. Lift the second row center seat side shield and pull outward.
    1. Push the second row center seat side shield forward.

  1. Remove the second row center seat RH side shield.
    1. Remove the screws.
    1. Detach the retainers.
      Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
    1. Lift the second row center seat side shield and pull outward.
    1. Lift the second row center seat side shield and pull outward.
    1. Push the second row center seat side shield forward.

    1. Release the second row center seat cushion cover hook-and-loop retainer.
    1. Detach the second row center seat cushion cover J-clips.
  1. Remove the second row center seat cushion cover and foam.
  1. NOTICE: Use care when separating the seat cushion trim cover from the hook-and-loop strips or the hook-and-loop strips may be torn from the seat cushion foam.

    NOTICE: Use care when separating the seat cushion trim cover from the hook-and arrow or the hook may be torn from the seat cushion foam.

    NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.


    Remove the second row center seat cushion cover.
    1. Invert the cover.
    1. Release the hook-and-loop strips.
    1. Release the hook-and-arrows.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Seatbelt Height Adjustment

    WARNING: Position the seatbelt height adjuster so that the seatbelt rests across the middle of your shoulder. Failure to adjust the seatbelt correctly could reduce its effectiveness and increase the risk of injury in a crash.

    Adjust the height of the shoulder belt so the belt rests across the middle of your shoulder. Slide the adjuster up to raise the belt. Press the button and slide it down to lower the belt.
