Go to the settings menu on your cell phone.
Select Bluetooth.
Select the information icon to the right of your vehicle.
Switch text message notification on.

Android

Go to the settings menu on your cell phone.
Select Bluetooth.
Select the profiles option.
Select the phone profile.
Switch text message notification on.
