Removal

Remove the front seats.
Refer to: Front Seat (501-10A Front Seats, Removal and Installation).

Remove the bolt cover and bolt.
-
Release the clips and remove the LH floor console side panel extension.
-
Release the retainers and remove the LH floor console side trim panel.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
-
Release the retainers and remove the RH floor console side trim panel.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
-
Position the carpet aside.
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
-
Remove the RH floor console bolts.
-
Remove the bolt.
Torque:
28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)
-
Remove the bolts.
Torque:
48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)
-
Position the carpet aside.
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
-
Remove the LH floor console bolts.
-
Remove the bolt.
Torque:
28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)
-
Remove the bolts.
Torque:
48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)
-
Remove the floor console.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Other information:
The system detects vehicles that approach
at a speed between 4 mph (6 km/h) and
37 mph (60 km/h). Coverage decreases when
the sensors are partially, mostly or fully
obstructed. Slowly reversing helps increase
the coverage area and effectiveness.
The system turns on when you start the
engine and you shift into reverse (R)...
Note: Each road tire is equipped with a tire
pressure sensor located inside the wheel
and tire assembly cavity. The pressure
sensor is attached to the valve stem. The
pressure sensor is covered by the tire and
is not visible unless the tire is removed...
