Lincoln Aviator: Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 3.0L EcoBoost/3.0L EcoBoost – Hybrid (BQ) / Removal and Installation - Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Outlet Pipe
Removal
NOTICE:
The turbocharger compressor vanes can be damaged by even the
smallest particles. When removing any turbocharger or engine air intake
system component, ensure that no debris enters the system. Failure to
do so may result in damage to the turbocharger.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the fasteners and hood air deflector.

Disconnect the hose clamp.
Torque:
48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)

Drain the coolant
Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding (303-03A Engine Cooling - 3.0L EcoBoost, General Procedures).

Remove the coolant reservior tank assembly.
Refer to: Degas Bottle (303-03A Engine Cooling - 3.0L EcoBoost, Removal and Installation).

Remove the bolt and disconnect the CAC outlet pipe from the CAC.
Torque:
93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe LH side .
Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe LH (303-12 Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 3.0L EcoBoost/3.0L EcoBoost – Hybrid (BQ), Removal and Installation).

Loosen the clamp and remove the hose.
Torque:
48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)
Installation
-
Inspect the turbocharger or engine air intake system components and clean, if necessary.
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Refill the coolant.
