Removal

Remove the hood latch release handle.

Rotate the hood latch release handle.

NOTE:
Do not remove the retaining clip from the hood latch release handle.
Release the retaining clip.

Remove the hood latch release handle.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Remove the hood latch.

Remove the front door trim panel.

Other information:
When the child safety locks are set, you
cannot open the rear doors from the inside.
The child safety lock control is on the driver
door.
Press the control to switch the child safety
locks on. Press the control again to switch
them off. A light on the child safety control
illuminates when you switch them on...
The system flashes the direction indicators
and sounds the horn (intermittently) in the
event of a serious impact that deploys an
airbag (front, side, side curtain or Safety
Canopy) or the seatbelt pretensioners.
The horn and indicators turn off when:
You press the hazard control button...

The front outboard and rear safety restraints
in the vehicle are combination lap and
shoulder belts.
Insert the belt tongue into the proper
buckle (the buckle closest to the direction
the tongue is coming from) until you hear
a snap and feel it latch. Make sure that
you securely fasten the tongue in the
buckle.

To unfasten, press the release button
and remove the tongue from the buckle.
