Lincoln Aviator: Rear View Mirrors / Removal and Installation - Interior Rear View Mirror

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Release the clips and remove the IPMA cover.
  1. Disconnect the interior rear view mirror electrical connector.

  1. Remove the interior rear view mirror.
    1. Loosen the set screw.
      Torque: 17 lb.in (1.9 Nm)
    1. Slide the interior rear view mirror upward.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Fastening the Seatbelts

    The front outboard and rear safety restraints in the vehicle are combination lap and shoulder belts.

    Insert the belt tongue into the proper buckle (the buckle closest to the direction the tongue is coming from) until you hear a snap and feel it latch. Make sure that you securely fasten the tongue in the buckle.
