Lincoln Aviator: Wipers and Washers / Removal and Installation - Rear Window Wiper Pivot Arm

Special Tool(s) / General Equipment

Removal

1. Remove the rear spoiler.
   Refer to: Rear Spoiler (501-08 Exterior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the rear window wiper pivot arm nut.
   

1. Remove the rear window wiper pivot arm.
   Use the General Equipment: Two Leg Puller

Installation

1. 
   Verify the windshield wiper motor is in the PARK position.
   
   1. Turn the ignition ON.
      
   2. Operate the switch ON then OFF to cycle the rear windshield wiper motor.
      
   3. Turn the ignition OFF.
      

1. 
   Install the wiper pivot arm.
   
   1. Align the wiper blade with the marks on the glass.
      
   2. Install the rear window wiper pivot arm nut.
      Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

1. Install the rear spoiler.
   Refer to: Rear Spoiler (501-08 Exterior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
