Lincoln Aviator: Vehicle Dynamic Suspension / Removal and Installation - Air Suspension Reservoir

Removal

  WARNING: Vent all air pressure from the air suspension system prior to disconnecting or removing any air suspension components. It is dangerous to remove air suspension components while under pressure. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Depressurize the air suspension system.
  1. Position vehicle on a hoist.
    Refer to: Jacking and Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
  1. Remove the retainers and the air suspension reservoir shield.

  1. Remove the air suspension reservoir
    1. Disconnect the air suspension reservoir pressure line.
    1. Remove the retainers and the air suspension reservoir.
      Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Repressurize the air suspension system.
