Interior Trim Remover

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the FDIM
    Refer to: Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) (415-00 Information and Entertainment System - General Information, Removal and Installation).
  1. Position the park aid switch out, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the park aid switch assembly.

  1. Release the clips and remove the RH center trim panel.

  1. Remove the screws
  1. Release the clips and position the center instrument panel trim forward.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the center instrument panel trim.
  1. Remove the floor console.
    Refer to: Floor Console (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).
  1. Release the clips and position down the LH instrument panel steering column trim panel.
  1. Remove the screw, release the clips and remove the lower center instrument panel trim panel.
  1. Release the clips and remove the TRCM bezel.
    Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
  1. Remove the screws, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the TRCM.
  1. Remove the screws and the center instrument panel bracket.
    Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
  1. Disconnect the LVDS connector.
  1. Separate the wiring guides and remove the LVDS cable.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Emergency Locking

    Each door has a backup power system which allows the door to function if your vehicle has no power. The system has a limited number of operations before the power is depleted and turns off. When the system turns off, the door remains open and unlatched and does not close.

    If your vehicle has no power and the backup power system is turned off, you can close and secure your vehicle by manually resetting each door latch using a key in the position shown.
