Lincoln Aviator: Glass, Frames and Mechanisms / Removal and Installation - Front Door Glass Top Run
Removal
NOTE:

Remove the front door window glass.
Refer to: Front Door Window Glass (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, Removal and Installation).

Remove the front door outer belt moulding.
-
Release the pin-type retainer and position the front door weatherstrip aside.
-
Remove the front door outer belt moulding screw.
Torque:
12 lb.in (1.3 Nm)

Remove the front door outer belt moulding screw.
Torque:
12 lb.in (1.3 Nm)

Remove the front door outer belt moulding.
-
Remove the exterior front door sail panel.
-
Disconnect the keyless entry keypad electrical connector.
-
Remove the keyless entry keypad.
-
Position the front door glass top run aside.
-
Release the clips and remove the keyless entry keypad.
-
Remove the front door glass top run.
-
Remove the front door glass top run screw.
Torque:
12 lb.in (1.3 Nm)

Release the front door glass top run from the door run channel.
-
Release the front door glass top run from the door run channel.
-
Release the front door glass top run from the door run channel.
-
Remove the front door glass top run.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Carry out the power door window initialization.

Materials
Note: We recommend using DOT 4 Low
Viscosity (LV) High Performance Brake Fluid
or equivalent meeting WSS-M6C65-A2. Use
of any fluid other than the recommended
fluid could cause reduced brake
performance and not meet our performance
standards...
Categories
Each door has a backup power system which
allows the door to function if your vehicle
has no power. The system has a limited
number of operations before the power is
depleted and turns off. When the system
turns off, the door remains open and
unlatched and does not close.
If your vehicle has no power and the backup
power system is turned off, you can close
and secure your vehicle by manually
resetting each door latch using a key in the
position shown.
