Lincoln Aviator: Exterior Lighting / Removal and Installation - Reversing Lamp
Removal
NOTE:

Remove the liftgate trim panel.
Refer to: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

Disconnect the reversing lamp assembly camera washer fluid hose and connectors.

Disconnect the reversing lamp assembly rear camera washer fluid hose and detach the hose retainer.
-
Disconnect the reversing lamp assembly electrical connectors.
-
Detach the reversing lamp assembly wiring harness retainer.
-
Remove the reversing lamp assembly.
-
Remove the reversing lamp cap nuts.
Torque:
19 lb.in (2.2 Nm)

Remove the reversing lamp nuts. Remove the reversing lamp.
Torque:
33 lb.in (3.7 Nm)
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Remove the rear bumper cover...

Release the push pin and remove the drivers side insulation panel...
Other information:
Inspect the vehicle seatbelts and child safety
seat systems periodically to make sure they
work properly and are not damaged. Inspect
the vehicle and child restraint seatbelts to
make sure there are no nicks, tears or cuts.
Replace if necessary. All vehicle seatbelt
assemblies, including retractors, buckles,
front seatbelt buckle assemblies, buckle
support assemblies (slide bar-if equipped),
shoulder belt height adjusters (if equipped),
shoulder belt guide on seat backrest (if
equipped), child safety seat LATCH and
tether anchors, and attaching hardware,
should be inspected after a crash...

Remove the BCM.

NOTICE:
Do not service the brake pedal or brake booster
without first removing the stoplamp switch...
