Lincoln Aviator: Exterior Lighting / Removal and Installation - Reversing Lamp

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel.
    Refer to: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

  1. Disconnect the reversing lamp assembly camera washer fluid hose and connectors.
    1. Disconnect the reversing lamp assembly rear camera washer fluid hose and detach the hose retainer.
    1. Disconnect the reversing lamp assembly electrical connectors.
    1. Detach the reversing lamp assembly wiring harness retainer.

  1. Remove the reversing lamp assembly.
    1. Remove the reversing lamp cap nuts.
      Torque: 19 lb.in (2.2 Nm)
    1. Remove the reversing lamp nuts. Remove the reversing lamp.
      Torque: 33 lb.in (3.7 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Adjust the height of the shoulder belt so the belt rests across the middle of your shoulder. Slide the adjuster up to raise the belt. Press the button and slide it down to lower the belt.
