Lincoln Aviator: Information and Entertainment System - General Information / Removal and Installation - Roof Mounted Antenna

Removal

  1. Lower the headliner.
    Refer to: Headliner - Lowering (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
  1. Disconnect the antenna cable connector(s).
  1. Remove the bolt, the bracket and the roof mounted antenna.
    Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

Installation

Existing antenna

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

New antenna

  1. NOTE: If installing a new antenna it is not necessary to remove the bolt from the antenna base.

    Install the antenna harness through the roof open and push the base down until fully seated.
  1. Connect the antenna cable connector(s).
  1. Install the headliner.
    Refer to: Headliner - Lowering (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
