Lincoln Aviator: Second Row Seats / Removal and Installation - Second Row Seat Head Restraint Guide Sleeve

Flat-Bladed Screwdriver

Removal

Second row outboard seat


    1. Push the second row outboard seat head restraint release buttons.
    1. Remove the second row outboard head restraint.

Second row center seat


  1. Remove the second row center seat head restraint.
    1. Push down on the second row center seat backrest cover to gain access to the second row center seat head restraint retaining clip.
    1. Remove and discard the second row head restraint retaining clip.
    1. Push the second row center seat head restraint release button.

All seats

  1. NOTE: Follow the unique instructions or graphics for this step in the installation.


    1. Release the tab.
      Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver
    1. Remove the second row head restraint guide sleeve.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Allow the head restraint guide sleeve to slide freely through the backrest foam and backrest trim cover. Using hand pressure, twist the head restraint guide sleeve while pushing it into the backrest frame until the tab is locked into place.

    The intelligent access key must be within 3 ft (1 m) of the door or luggage compartment you intend to lock or unlock.
